About Arlo
He is a lovely boy who is highly regarded by one of the volunteers at the shelter. So much so, that she wrote this lovely description of him. However, I am waiting for information about his age, size etc and will update as soon as I receive it.
‘Some dogs leave a paw print on your heart forever, and Arlo is one of those dogs. I first met him in June 2025 and, from the moment I met him, I fell completely in love. He is the most gentle soul with so much love to give. He’s kind, affectionate and one of those dogs who just wants to be close to his person. He will be so loyal as, whilst I was at the shelter, Arlo became my shadow. No matter what job I was doing, he was always right beside me, following me from task to task. He simply wanted to be with me. I returned to the shelter a year later and was so upset too see that he was still there. It broke my heart as I couldn’t believe that such a special dog was still without a family.
I knew I had to take him out so we spent the day exploring the waterfalls and the beach. Watching him experience the world was something I will never forget. He loved scrambling over the rocks and splashing in the streams. When we reached the beach, he simply sat quietly beside me, watching the waves, every now and then leaning over to give me the sweetest kiss on my cheek. It was one of those moments that stays with your forever. Arlo doesn’t need anything extraordinary, he just needs someone to believe in him. Someone to give him the chance he has been waiting for.
