Many of your will be aware that our charity shop in Charminster, Bournemouth, has been closed since the middle of March as a result of the Covid19 lockdown.  The current restrictions on retail outlets are extremely difficult for us to comply with. We have taken into account social distancing, the fact that customers are unable to try on clothing, donations have to be quarantined for 72 hours (we have little space), volunteers are understandably reluctant to put themselves at risk and customers are not inclined to shop unless they have to.

It is with a very heavy heart, therefore, that we have decided that the shop will not re-open and we will vacate it in the middle of August. It will be quite a challenge for us to empty it, so we are holding a ‘Closing Down Sale’ for the 3 days 4-6 August from 10am-4.30pm. If you live in the area, PLEASE support us in our final attempt to sell as much stock as possible. There will certainly bargains to be had!

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved and especially Sue, Chris and the volunteers as we have always been very proud of what they have achieved. Thanks also to our customers and supporters who have made donations over the past 3 years. It has been a great success and the charity has benefited immensely from it. Of course, this is yet another aspect of our income which has disappeared so now we have no fundraising whatsover. Please do what you can to support the shop’s last 3 days.
