About Shay – In foster home near Exeter, Devon

We would like to introduce you to Shay who was born around April 2018 and she came to the UK in May 2019.  However, her owners had some personal problems which meant they were unable to keep her.

She is of medium energy but has loads of character because she likes to chat (not bark but talkative) and have lots of fuss. She is well behaved, house trained, doesn’t chew or steal and likes to relax.  She just LOVES to play with humans and dogs and we think she would be best in a home with another dog who is maybe a little older than her, well balanced but who also enjoys playing.

She needs companionship and her owner must be patient, understanding, firm but fair. A household with children would not be appropriate for her and neither would a very busy home with lots of visitors.  She still needs more training when visitors come to the house but she has improved enormously over recent weeks. She just gets anxious with new people.

She is a lovely dog and a person or couple would have lots of fun with her as her character is unique.  We will be happy to chat with you about Shay and you are welcome to visit if you would like to meet this lovely girl.  We have just discovered that she really enjoys playing football!
